Happy Eating
'Twas the night of Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn't sleep...
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned…
The dark meat and white
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning
with anticipation, The thought of a snack became pure infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen,
flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge,
full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Stuffing with gravy, green beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
Till all of a sudden, II I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling
floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding
and a handful of pie
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...
Happy eating to all pass the cranberries, please.
Fact Or Fiction
People are getting really desperate due
to the constantly rising gas prices. A
woman used her credit/debit card to
purchase gas at the pump. She received
her receipt like normal. However, when
she checked her statement, there were 2
$50 charges added in addition to her
purchase. Upon investigation, she found
out that because she did not press the
'clear' button on the pump, the employee
inside the store was able to use her card
to purchase his/her own gas! To keep this
from happening, after you get your
receipt, you must press the 'CLEAR'
button or your information will be stored
until the next customer inserts their card.
FICTION: According to Snopes.com,
once you replace the hose into the pump,
the transaction is terminated and is
readied for the next purchaser.
