Our Day Trip Chair, Ken Katz, reports

that he has been advised that American

Coach will no longer offer packaged day

trips and  will concentrate on their core

business, bus rentals. There are not

many companies who are still offering

packaged day trips  What this means, in

essence, is that Ken has to negotiate

with theaters, restaurants and bus

companies separately, and then package

them  for your convenience and

enjoyment.

With regard to theater packages, it

would appear that, in most cases, the

only way to plan future theater,  

lunch/dinner packages would be for the

club to commit to a block of tickets. In

order to ensure that the club’s exposure

is minimized, members who make

reservation will  be required to issue a

check  for that show at the time they

sign up. In the event that a particular

show does not sell the minimum amount

of tickets by a date established by the 

theater, we will cancel the date and

return all checks to the members.

Finally, for your convenience, you can

also mail your checks for all  trips,

payable to The Wellington Seniors Club,

directly to the Trip Coordinators, or, if

you prefer, you can still sign up at a

membership luncheon.

Please be sure to include the name of the

show in the memo portion of your check

in order for the funds to be credited to

the proper activity.

Dania Jai-Alai

We are pleased to present,  for the

first time, Jai Alai, “The World’s

Fastest Ball Game” on Tuesday,

October 28th, which includes dining at

the Sterling Country Kitchen, choice of 3

Entrees, Soup, Salad Bar, Baked Potato,

Rolls, Dessert, Coffee, Iced Tea or Soda.

In addition, an official Jai-Alai program

to aid in your handicapping. The cost is

La Cage aux Folles

the homosexual lovers whose twenty years

a son, fathered during a one-night

heterosexual fling, decides to marry the

daughter of a bigoted politician.
